What does PR stand for ?
PR, Awards and Event Photography Essex. I think two are fairly simple events and awards speak for themselves and will talk about them later. PR on the other hand could stand for press release or public relations photography, I’m pretty sure both sure both mean the same thing. The art of a good PR shot is to tell an interesting newsworthy story about your company with images. Quite different to advertising photography. PR photography should be a means of promoting your company for free, via various media channels (maybe not radio). We have worked with lots of companies with some mad briefs, but always come away with some successful images.
Awards
From Annual Company awards to local swimming awards, we have photographed lots of different types over the years. Some are huge events within smart themed hotel banqueting suites. Other are in village halls. For the recipient of that award it doesn’t matter as they are being recognised for their personal or team achievements. Professionally photographing these award events is really important as the images are put to good use in internal publications and posters around your company. These act as incentives for the next year, creating quite a buzz for the winners. Also there is the opportunity to send them to the local press as well. What ever Event you are holding photography is important
I think the list of types of events could be endless so I will touch on a few I have photographed. Including some crazy ones like auctioning off all the model giraffes for the Stand Tall charity supporting Colchester Zoo. A huge 200 strong VE day charity ball all in costume at Kesgrave Hall. The Paul Whittome Super & Classic car rally was a fun day to photography. Revive & Thrive was a very worthwhile town centre rejuvenation competition.
